Default AEM UEGO install question

ok I'm wiring in my wideband and mapecu at the moment.

The MAPECU software tells me how to wire up the ground, and the signal wire.

I assumed to run it on the same power wire as the map ecu. I'm hoping that it is ok, because there is no fuse there.

but my question is, what wire on the ecu do i hook up the "serial output" wire to on the wideband? That is the only wire not connected.

Also can anyone recommend a better power source if i installed the power wire incorrectly?

i think the serial output goes to the AEM EMS. last time i just ran the power off of the cig lighter. my friend didnt ever need it anyway so we just unplugged it.

so you guys didn't even run the blue serial output wire?

and do you think it's safe to use the same power source wire that the mapecu runs off of?

I would think so right?

should be okay, but I'd go ahead and just get the 12v somewhere else. Like tapping the fuse box, or maybe even the remote wire on a radio.

you only need the serial output wire if your tapping into a AEM EMS or other standalone.
