SC Exhaust Thread
not quite the same thing...but, when i had a muffler installed on my tahoe the shop i went to charged 80: cut out old muffler, make 2 new pipes to relocate the new mufflers, weld mufflers together and bend and weld on a new hanger, and make two turn downs. I figure you shouldn't have to pay more than 50 for the 2 you have.
I did the opposite, I removed the mufflers and left the resonators. Very minimal drone or almost none at all. Every one loves the sound including the wife, now that's a plus. LOL. I had a shop put new pipes from the axle back and new tips, total was $170. Another advantage I noticed was, mpg is up to 21 city driving.
Can't wait see what highway mpg will be.

So your mpg went up you say ?! If so I must try this
At the moment I only have tips welded on my stock mufflers wish it had Abit of a nice sound to them.
If we remove the resonators does it make it raspy and drone?

From my experience the car really woke up when I put a new exhaust on it. Removed the resonators and put on a set of axle backs. Yes, getting rid on the resonators definitely makes the car louder. From my experience it will drone when it gets past 2.8k on the freeway. One more thing: I'm talking about the 400, if your talking about the 300 I can't really help you.
fujitsubo exhaust, order for a mk4, had it custom installed had to make a mid pipe for it.
as for sound. im not to happy. it is loud compared to how i wanted it. it sounds good, and on the highway it is very very quite , but city driving its a tad loud and when your on it, its lound. but it has a good sound. i will be changing axle backs soon

Fujitsubo: Legalis-R
I gotta delete the cats, and increase the diameter (from the downpipe-onward), to 2.5" so it matches the Legalis' diameter. It's mad quiet. If you rev it you'll hear it, but it's not enough, I want a throaty exhaust note, full-time.
