Default Does '97 SC300 comes with VVTI engine?
Just wondering if the '97 SC300 model comes with the VVTI engine?

How much HP does the 300 VTI have? I thought that only the 400 came VTI

The (300) 2jz-ge vvt-i has 220 hp. Both SC3/400 came with VVT-I starting in 98'.

Both SC models came with VVT-i from 1998 on, but only the SC400 got a real power boost--from 260hp to 290hp, along with a 5-speed auto.

The SC300 held steady at 225hp (same as the year before), but from what I understand, the VVT-i helped with mid-range punch. Maybe more torque with the VVT-i equipped SC300s?

Question 210-200-210-220????
Right, 225. According to the Lexus website torque went down from 210 to 200 between 97-98 Is this a typo or what? Also it says torque went up to 220 in 00'.
