Can anyone tell me what year remotes will work on my 1996 SC300 Manual?
Will other lexus cars remotes work or do I need a specific part number?

I want to buy a used one and have the lexus dealer reprogram it, my car did not come with one when I bought it used.

I bet Lexus does....... Parts department should be able to tell you the model year range for the part # for your car.

 

What do you mean remote? It should be integrated into the key. You need to get a key with the same FCC ID number and an oem remote master key to program it.

 

I think thats the older sc300s that had it in the key, Ive seen that before.
Mines a 96 and I have a regular key just need the separate remote I believe

Im looking at some used ones on ebay, how do I know if this is that part#?

Also are there any programming instructions out there or on here?

 

The part number for you year model remote is 89742-50510. It will work on year model 96 and 97 coupes. Also the same remote as the LS400 95 to 97.
