I don't think so. I'm using an auto ECU with my w58, but I don't think you can do it the other way around.....

thats what im thinking. This swap is giving me so much trouble, any suggestions on what i should do?

im just throwing this out there. someone told me i could still wire up my old ecu (2jzge) and give it power and then it will control my Tranny? and still run my 5 speed ecu for the engine.

then someone told me that the tranny already has its own ecu? so

I'm not sure about that....I got an engine set that was an auto and it didn't come with a tranny ECU. I guess we could swap ECU's. Do they have all the same connectors and stuff?

the auto ecu controls the transmission as well. if you look at the 2 ecu's side by side you will see the auto ecu has a lot more wires.

its not that hard to find auto 1jz ecus. they are all over ebay.

What that guy said ^^^^^ you need to use an auto ECU. Do not complicate it by trying to use two main ECUs.
