i have a im not sure if a problem but its bothering the crap out of me i have a 96 sc300t stock diff and whenever i launch it and redline in 1st gear and slap it into second it seems like the rear diff is disconnected it doesnt go nowhere my clutch is good so just wondering what it could be or how to eliminate it any info would help
dammit it does seem like it doesnt it...so theres no way that it would have some kind of a safety system so you dont over rev it or something cuz the clutch seems too grip fine or maybe im just trying to tell that to myself so i dont have to put a new clutch in it

Do you have traction control? That will cut you out for a second if you're chirping second. Also, the engine itselt does have a rev limiter, but you won't feel it once you have it in second gear until it's wound (sp?) out or you're straight roasting them through second (which I think you would notice).
well i dont see any buttons for the traction control unless it has one that you cant turn off...its probably the clutch slippin once the boost kicks in it cant handle all that torque... thx for the help bro
So let me get this straight, you've got a stock clutch and you're dropping the clutch at redline? You're gonna be breaking more than your clutch pretty soon dude.

Only the Auto trannies came with Traction Control, no manual trannies had that option. This guy has a manual tranny (because he said he had a clutch)
+1 for a clutch problem, if you're dumping it at redline it won't last very long. What kind of clutch is it? And how much power are you putting through that clutch? Too much power through a clutch is going to roast it very quickly.
im running 10psi on a t61 probably around 350hp never been dynoed tho...also i have a fidanza flywheel act pressure plate and a hpf clutch disc and im not dumping it at redline just reving it up to redline im thinking the clutch is a lil worn out already and cant handle those high rpms...wat do you guys think of the hpf clutch? good no good i bought the car with it
yea thats when it usually happens than i hit second and alot of noise but no go...if i drain the trans what should i be looking for discoloration, metal pieces???
Well, if you had an auto and did a manual swap you CAN have traction control...
Anyway, to see if your clutch is not holding, just put it in 5th gear and floor it. If it can hold that, then it isn't your clutch...but if it revs up, then comes back down and then starts going...your clutch is slipping.
