Default Need to replace tail light bulb.....

I'm no mechanic, but I thought even I could figure out how to change a burnt out tail light bulb. Here's the situation: I have a'95 SC400, the passenger side taillight the right side of the tail light is not lighting up, only the left half. I figure a bulb is burnt out. Now for the dumb question of the decade: How do I change the bulb??? Do I need to remove the lens? I tried going inside the trunk but I can't seem to locate the bulb. Thanks for any help.

you can find the answer searching, most of these common questions have been answered on here but i'll help you out on this one..

you have to remove the taillights, some cars seem easier then other, my last SC was a pain in the a$$!!! all you do though is pull back the carpet in your trunk where your tails are, you'll see a couple of i think 10mm nuts, i think 6 on each tail, undo those and pull your tails off.. I'm pretty sure that's how it went, i hadn't taken one off for a few months.

^^^^^That's rite. Since it's the passenger side, you have to take off the nuts for the lock as well.

No way...Lexus designed the car so you have to remove the taillight to replace the bulb? That's quite possibly one of the stupidest things I've ever heard...

Its not hard at all. Just remove the 4 nuts per taillight, pull it out and its right there. It takes me less than a minute to get to them.

Good Luck

yeah it's definetly not hard, i think when i half cleared my tails maybe something warped soo slightly i couldn't notice it but enough to make putting them back on and off harder..

while it's not hard, lexus definetly could have had slots for it like a normal car lol..
