Default Memory seat question

Hello all of you, I'm new here, just bought a '92 SC400 full stock (good looking too for its age), just have a question about the memory seats. The electric seats are working perfectly, but impossible to memorize the positions. I followed the manual instructions, doesn't work.

Any idea what it could be?

Thx in advance for your answers (I got more )

Does ur key less entry and alarm work? If not then flip the switch on the bottom of the steering column and turn it on. The memory seats are tied into the alarm system. If that doesnt work check the plug in the back of the buttons and make sure its connected. For any other question search the Audio and Security section for more assistance.

your foot cannot be on the brake, and resseting via the battery is a good idea cause sometimes when it gets stuck the ecu will not respond until a reset.

also make sure your steering wheel tilt works fine and your sidview mirrors work as well. any of these not working right will cause the memory ecu to freeze when it tries to move them.

Well pix, I got some, but take any '92 SC400 full stock in pearl white and you've got my car

I'll try to disconnect the battery since everything else didn't worked.
Will do that as soon as I have my cluster back (should be tomorrow)... white leds, red needles

Everything work perfectly (steering wheel tilts, seats are moving in every directions, rearview mirrors are working...)

Last thing I need to check is the buttons on the door. Dunno if it's hard to remove though

well he doesn't have a 5spd, hence why i said that it had to be in park.

another possible reason is the ecu under the seat may not work as well.

to remove, you need to remove the whole panel, i think you have 3 small bolts at the bottom of the panel, 2 thats close to the door hinges, 1 behind the door open lever (from the inside), 2 under the door armrest.

Once the panel comes off, you need to disconnect the door lock and the door opener, they come off, you just need to position them to do so. Then unhook the window switch. NOW check to see if the connector is properly plugged in for your memory seat control, or you can remove it and check it that way.

Thx a lot for the info, not exactly the piece of cake I thought this would be, I'll wait a while before doing that
