there's an ecu control unit under the seat. i believe it controls motor functions and possibly the memory seating as well.

when i ordered a stock seat harness from aliga to stop the seat belt light going on when i installed my bride, he sent me an ecu unit along with all the wiring that is under the seat. if it is the unit, i'll give it to you free, just pay for shipping.

i would reset everything and then take off the door panel and disconnect the memory seat switch, and then reconnect it after waiting like 20 seconds.

thats how i fixed mine anyways. but yeah, if all the resetting doesn't help ecu is the likely culprit

this is the unit i'm talking about. if you want it, it's yours.

like i said earlier, i'm not sure if this will fix your problem, as i'm not sure where the seating positions are saved at, but this could be a possibility.
