you could check the big ones in the engine compartment. the tails are usually connected somehow to the headlight relay i believe.

okay i replace the light out solenoid in the trunk and now i do have taillights YEAH thanks on that one guys... still no brake lights though. I replaced the little box that attaches to the brake switch on the pedal with one out of a yard, but still no luck. gonna go check voltages across the entire harness in a few minutes, see where it disappears at. does anyone know EXACTLY which fuse goes to the brake lights? i have no cover for my fuse panel and its really getting annoying!!! HELP PLEASE

FIXED turns out it was a fuse stopping the brakes from working. but it didnt power until the button was depressed on the switch, so i never knew till i physically pulled every fuse one by one
