Well, you need to check the basics, like the brake pedal switch, fuses for the tail lights, etc. Do the tail lights still light up when you hit the brake?
Thanks for getting back to me. The fuse for the stop lights is good but the brake lights dont work and the turn signals do. My third brake light had not been working so I replaced the led strip. I dont know if this is all connected or not. I am new to this forum so pardon my stumbling around.
Not a problem.. I would check to see if you have power at the 3rd brake light connector or any of the other tail lights (minus the turn signals) with the brake depressed. My first thought is that you probably have a problem with the brake pedal switch, since this is what will turn on the shift-lock and the rear brake lights.
There are more than one fuse to check... Check your CIG fuse, ECU-IG fuse, and STOP fuses.. Those all feed power to the shift lock ecu. There is also the TAIL fuse for the tail lights. I would check your brake pedal switch to see if it is working properly.
