1jz
hi guys, i am currently contemplating on getting a sc300 and doing a 1jz drop in. what would be the idea engine for this? how reliable is this? what kind of power does it make? i want to stay in a automatic. any and all help would be very much appreciated.
we do have a search feature(im starting to understand more and more everyday why all the OG's always tell everyone to search, i havent been here that long and its already getting on my nerves to see these questions all the time)
Go down to Wendy's and get a Whamburger and some french cry's
then please inform me of exactly what to type in on the search and i will do so.
this is exactly why i said search, there is no excuse ofr not being ablt to find info on the 1jz swap, the most commonly discussed topic in the performance section

When you search for something like 1JZ that only has three letters in the word, use a wild card character, or asterisk. Search the performance for "1JZ* turbo", "1JZ* swap", etc...I promise you that your results will be fruitful.
The 1JZ is rather reliable. The fuel economy is good. The performance is amazing for a 2.5L. It can achieve 400whp without much creativity being required. It can handle huge numbers, but you begin to loose streetability over ~500whp as the power band becomes thin.
This statement is useless.
This however, is usefull
no need to get your blood pressure rising.
