BMW has different lug spacing. 5x120 versus our 5x114.

not worth it.

look for other wheels with the proper lug pattern. Check out G35, Z350, RX7 forums. There are some pretty sexy wheels on their forums just like their are some pretty sexy wheels on ours.

I've read in the Official Wheel & Tire Fitment Guide for SC300/SC400 that +38mm and higher offset will fit fine with no fender modifications needed. Get wheels with lug patterns 5 x 114.3 or 5 x 4.50.

I had 275/30/19's in the rear at a +40 offset and I rubbed with passengers in the rear and/or on big bumps until I rolled the fenders. Had I ran 285's or 295's, I would have rubbed much worse.

+38 is a decent rule of thumb, but tire selection has a significant role on whether you will rub. Had I got my 275/30/19's in Dunlop Direzzas, I would have not rubbed.

You could get adapters no problem, but since you would have to run at least 25mm thick adapters (to be on the safe side) the wheels would probably end up sticking out past the fenders.

And offsets are completely dependent on wheel width. +38mm on a 9.5-inch wide wheel is completely different than +38mm on a 8.5-inch wide wheel.

Thanks for the info. I'm trying to get some BBS LM wheels (or nice replicas) and have been researching all about tire size and offset recently so as to not have any problems (other than wheel gap). Any other tires that are good that won't rub much/any?

Anyone know how low or high of an offset you can go with 8.5", 9.0", 9.5", 10", etc. without rubbing on the SC300/400? Thanks.

yea .The guy i was gonna buy it off didnt know the offset.I Was afraid that with an adapter and such it would make the wheel stick out and rub.I'm not gonna risk it.I decided to go with my drop firs then rims.
