thats because no one makes pillow-ball upper strut mounts. we have a double wishbone suspension u adjust camber with camber adjustment plates. the strut tower uppper mounts are solid metal from tein and they come in yellow or silver good luck. u can reuse the factory upper mounts but they are made of rubber and will absorb most the stiffness

HKS and TEIN make pillow mounts for our cars. I just can't ahold of a dealer.

'cause we don't have struts, we have shocks on all four corners... there is no turning nor adjustment needed for the uppers of any of the shocks themselves...

why are you looking for upper mounts?

I have air suspension and the stock upper mounts are all worn out on mines. I'm trying to drop the car lower, and with aftermarket uppermounts, I can drop my car a lot lower. These parts exist because I've seen them installed on KYB GR-2 struts for the SC along with Universal Air Suspension bags.

ok, so, you need upper shock mounts...

nothing pillow about them (as there is no turning movement in the shock, as it is a shock, not a strut)...

upper shock mounts - try that search

but after a quick search, and a quick thought... theres not more than about half an inch between the upper spring andthe body itself... you aren't going to gain more than 1/4- 1/2" and that would be taking the upper shock mount out of the picture entirely...

there just isn't much space between the upper spring perch and the frame itself, else there might be some room...

Yeah, i see where you are coming from, BUT, I have proven results with the HKS mounts. With the HKS mounts, It drops the car an extra good inch or so and I just need to find a distributor/dealer/retailer for them.

factory upper mounts are made of metal as well. the rubber you see is part of the boot that protects the shocks from dirt/dust/moisture as well as absorb vibration/road noise. tein upper mounts are thicker than stock uppermounts.

imo it does really matter what brand. there really are no moving parts except for hte pillow ball that pivots about the center. its just a 1/2inch thick aluminum plate with a pillowball in the center. i have tein upper mounts. i changed shocks along with the uppermounts. doesnt sound/feel as sloppy as before.
