codes, codes, and more codes ...
Hey everyone yesterday I picked up my 2nd SC its a 92 SC400 w/ 159k miles but unfortunately it has a couple of problems ...
1. Check Engine Light - pulled a code 52, i have read on here it is a knock sensor problem or wire to the sensor problem, Where is the knock sensor located?
2. Trac Off/ Trac lights - i am pulling codes 43 and 51, I dont know what those codes mean ... i found this site for the engine code(no trac codes) http://www.troublecodes.net/Lexus/
3. O/D off lights - got code 63, someone rigged the car by tapping into the main wiring harness and it looks like the wire pluggs into something around the transmission probably a sensor or something. I just cut the wire and the sc4 has huge loss of power, i think it is in limp mode now i will investagate tomorrow and update everyone.
Additional info, I bought the car two days ago and have put about 800 miles on it i am averaging 23 mpg. transmission shifts a little rough between 1st and 2nd, i think its the trans bushing tho

Any ideas guys? I need to get this car back on the road ...
This is a picture of the ghetto wireing job, i have stumbled across the meaning of code 63 its the transmission solenoid #2 ... does any one know if this connector goes into solenoid (it near the rear of the transmission really close to the trans mount)

I have an absolute mint 95 SC 300 Red w/black leather Auto...I bought it new with 2 miles on it. Have 152,000 on it now. I have all records...every oil change, everything. Have orig sticker. Runs and looks like new. I am asking $12,000.
