I've been fixing up my 1992 SC400 I purchased earlier this year. So far, everything has gone well, until I needed to replace my window regulator on the passenger side. The panel is refreshingly simple to remove, but the regulator, motor, and window are all encased in the steel casing of the door (if that makes sense). If anyone knows how to even get to the regulator, please let me know! I'm not sure if I'm in over my head on this one; I've replaced regulators before, but never on a Lexus and they've never been so difficult (or seemingly impossible) to get to. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Stefanie
there is a writeup somehere here on the board... i did the change as well and let me tell you it is a pain in tha @ss.... it was impossible to pull it out....
it was easier when the window was all the way to the top...
there should be i think 3 nuts that need to be unscrewed from inside the door... sorta need to angle the ratchet in to remove them...
just look around for the write up... makes it easier...
