remove the catalytic converter (if that's legal in your state, or you don't care ), and replace with a straight pipe

Heres my SC4 when i still had the stock setup minus the Center catalytic converter.
Stock minus the cat.
You can use it as a reference. O yeah, ignore the rattle, that was a heatshield....

Sorry, but none of those words make a sentence in their current order.

I think he just want's it louder. Remove the two resonators behind each muffler. Here's mine.

Do you have aftermarket mufflers though? I would love to remove my resonators but I have Magnaflows. Is that a good idea or a heat score? Its too quiet now.

As the video says, it's Magnaflows with custom pipes and no resonators. With the resonators on there, any muffler you put on will sound pretty much stock/quiet.

also remember that it takes about 6 months for the mufflers to reach optimum sound. my exhaust sounded really low at first as well. Now it sounds like a beast but this is almost two years later.

Performance and silence - Two straight thru mufflers, and a Magnaflow center cat for performance...To quiet things down install a set of high flowing 1" foot circular resonators and install them on the back rear exhaust section...If will be somewhat quiet... If you want it as quiet as stock then add another two resonators somewhere...Resonators don't hurt performance too much and you can see right thru them..Like the straight thru mufflers..... End of story....

or you can go with an x-pipe for performance and to quiet things up.
