Default SC400 Trunk release?

I just bought a '95 SC400 theft recovery yesterday and had a master key made at my local dealer (Sewell of Dallas).

I have alot of work to do on the interior, door panels are missing etc.

Here is my problem. The master key they cut will work the doors/ignition/glove compartment but no go on the trunk. I am guessing that the theft system was triggered and I need to reset it with the drivers door lock... but that wiring is pretty much missing.

It sure looks to me like the trunk release is electromechanical. When I flip the key I am pretty sure all I am doing is activating a switch and not a mechanical release.

Any suggestions on how I can either reset the security system or pop the trunk solenoid?

Yes, it is a little rough from the experience, but the rest of the car is pretty clean and straight. If any of Y'all are local and know of a good source for interior parts please let me know. They gutted the stereo, took the door panels, and took the mufflers. I just don't understand some people.

No go on jumping it. I pulled power from the fuel filler release and that didn't bump it either.

So, I am guessing a bad solenoid. How do I get in to the trunk to release the latch? The gas tank is right in the way if I wanted to go through the back seat.

drill out the cylinder and then use your finger to pull the latch.

I kinda figured it was headed that way. I am hoping the door panels are in the trunk, I'll PM you with a list of what I need once I know for sure. I found the pass mirror under a pile of stuff in the back seat.

Finally got it. Lubed the lock and let it sit for a day, lubed it again an jiggled and it came free. Hit the tumblers real hard on the inside and now it works like new.

Clothes and the passengers door panel. Also a huge capacitor for the stereo system... used to be a Nakamachi car.

At least I am in the trunk. Both bumper covers need to be resprayed, but the rest of the paint and body is pretty clean. Now I can pull all the wiring for the aftermarket stereo and get that cleaned up. My guess is that I will find the security system problem somewhere in the harness.

By the end of this weekend I should be able to have a good parts list of what I need. All I need to do is find someone parting out an SC in the DFW area.

Love the sound of that twin cam. Might end up selling my convertible Mustang if this turns out nice. Too many cars and one big project I need to get to work on. Have a '76 912E with 80M on the odo I need to get cleaned up.
