Trunk will not open!
Hello. I have a IS300 and i am having trouble opening the trunk. The lever on the drivers
side door doesnt work nor does the factory remote key or the aftermarket alarm. I had my
nephew climb in the trunk to pull the emergency release and nothing also. Can someone
PLEASE HELP! ill put money in ur paypal account i just need this fixed asap!!!

I test drove didn't know I had to hold the button down, almost got the price marked down haha but bought a different IS..you should hear it beep then it'll open..mine just unlocks now doesn't really pop and fly open.
The key doesnt unlock the trunk when using it? Sounds like the cables were removed to prevent anyone getting into the trunk without a master key. If the key isnt the original key for the trunk, then you will not be able to open it. Im surprised the trunk release inside the trunk lid didnt work.
Might have to call a locksmith to see if the trunk can be picked. Then, you would have to buy a replacement key cylinder and key. This would mean you need 2 keys. One for the car and the other for the trunk.
