Default Just bought -1996 SC400!!!!

Hello,

I just found a 96 SC 400 with 81,000 miles yesterday. Clean carfax, leather worn in some places, but otherwise a running beast!!!! Had it up to 115mph this morning with lots of pedal left.
We already have a 2000 GS300, which we love, so I took a chance on this one (only a 30day/1000mile warranty). Any advice on the older SC's is appreciated.

1996 was my favorite year. 1 year before the new front fascia which imho added too many complex lines to such a simply elegant vehicle. 1 year after the 1995 so it had 10 more hp.

btw, you should be able to get up to 147 or 149mph before yourstock tranny runs out of gearing. With your mileage and age, i'd check for tranny and engine mount wear and suspension bushing wear while you still have a warranty.
