if you have the factory keys, there is a button on the side of one. that is the button to remotely unlock or lock the doors. that switch enables and disables that key function. if you do not have the key with the button, then you can dissregard the switch.

Does that mean if you have this button you have keyless entry? Do all SC's have keyless entry? Does that mean, I can go buy a factory key, program it, and have keyless on my SC300, I only got one key with the car, and it did not have the remote, my SC400 on the other hand has the remote key, and works.

If you have the button your car has keyless entry. Not sure if all Sc's came with it, but most do. Lexus dealer just quoted me over $300 for keys and transponder chip. Seems the price has gone up, used to be $250. Newer models (94+ I think)use a different system that allows any remote with matching FCC I.D. number to be programed to your car. All of us with the older models will have to shell out the cash for factory keyless or go aftermarket.

Awww... I was getting excited for a second there, I knew it would cost me, but $300, I don't think thats worth it.

Check Here

They cut the keys according to your vehicle and I believe they are still giving a clublexus discount. Do a search under the Audio/Security section.
