We have at the moment a Lexus Altezza Japan import 1998.

The carlost all its keys so with me being a vehicle locksmith made new keys. We ordered a key from Lexus which has turned up ready for programming.
The vehicle has no immobiliser chip but only the remote locking. All I need is the programming info to program this 315mhz remote. This remote has lock/unlock button on the side with a boot release button too.

The normal programming method of put key in ignition & out then lock 5 times doesn't work. We have all the methods like this but as the key is differant to any I have seen I was wondering if anyone has this info, please?

 

Did you try and do your programming method with the key in the out positiion first and do start to end within 30 seconds or so. I just programmed my LS430 valet key and it finnaly got programmed after having the key in the removed position before starting my 30 second sequence. Just thhought maybe you did your 30 second routine with the key already in the ignition which might have turned out to be 1 minute instead of 30 seconds. Worth a try. Just my 2 cents.....

 

No this isn't for this car.

This car is a Lexus Altezza or a IS200. It has nor immobiliser chip system like most European & american vehicles.

 

Hmmmm...no idea.. ! i have the same problem.. but i didnt bother to try and solve it.. i lost my remot key ! and i have been using manual locking for 2 years now.. soon i will go get my self a remot from LEXUS dealer.. and come back to the forum to try and program it !
