Default Rack and pinion?

Anyone here had to replace thier Rack and pinion yet? If so did you do it yourself and how hard was it?

I went to a discount tire and they did it for $60.00. It is much easier to do if you have a lift.

i have sold 3 steering racks in the past year, they do fail.

couple of symptoms:
- leaks
- too much slop in the steering wheel

Pretty easy job.. If you do it yourself be prepared to get dirty.

Gazi, where would one see leakage? My steering is sloppy as hell and I think it's the lca bushings AND steering rack...all at once...damnit to hell!!

man which one? I just called and those fawkers want $375 to install a rack, labor only
