This sucks!

Today my windows nolonger will go up/down with the drivers side door closed. I can open it, the windows go up/down fine. Make sense???

So here is a little more: If I have the drivers side door closed and try to move either the driver or passenger windows up/down, I get a buzzing sound coming from the switches on the drivers side.

Is there a relay inside the door? If I lean over and use the passenger side switch, still no luck!

Any hints? tips? suggestions!

Again, I can open the drivers door and both windows go up/down from either side, they only work if the door/dome lights come on it seems.

 

buy a new switch. PM aliga, he may have one.

 

Seems to be the wiring harness that goes into the door, If I push out on the thing, everything works fine, so seemingly it's some sort of short happening. Guess this is just from how many times the door has opened and closed since 1995!

Anyone have any idea if that harness can be replaced as a whole unit?

The wires move in the door when opened because the contacts on the switch input get loose, replace the switch.
