Default Climate Control PROBLEM...

Is my Climate control BROKEN?

AC works, Heat works, Fan works,.... BUT I have to keep the temp at COLD for it to blow any cold air... once its set 65 and up... it blows HOT air

What is the problem? How can I fix this? What can be wrong?

What does the outside temp read? -22F would be my guess.

(Do you have that option next to the trip odometer?)

ahh yes, yet another VSV problem. Its this little black expensive thing that manually controls wether or not you get hot air, cold air, neither or both

do some searches for "VSV"

I did a search on the VSV,

The only difference in problem with the VSV, is that I get HOT air... its only HOT or COLD that I get.. nothing in the middle...

Do you think its the same problem?

here's a cheap fix... or actually a couple

1. check to make sure ur coolant is topped off
2. look at the pcv valve... make sure the hose is snugly connected, i had the same problem, only the problem was the hose kept coming lose... a hose clamp fixed that... should be on the passenger side towards back of engine bay... it' looks like a little cylindrical thingie

hello, i've read those instructions few times and i just replaced the VSV valve located near the canister over by the passenger side in the engine bay, and its still blowing hot air from 65 and up and blows cold only in max cold. what else could be wrong? is there any other valve that needs to be replaced?
