yes but if you dont have alot of stereo stuff in your car i recommend the red top its mainly for starting purposes but it has a 3 year free replacement warranty no questions asked

I just put in the yellow top..fits almost perfect...you have to bend the (+ & -) terminals (flatten) them in order to put them on the posts. Also have to tighten down the battery tie down further cause the battery is a little shorter in height. Last but not least have to spin the battery because the terminals are reversed (+ terminal on the right side). great battery for people w/ stereo's and lots of electronics.

I had a yellow top before and that thing just fell off its tray and was rubbing against my serpentine belt while i was driving. Killed the damn battery. Since then, i haven't used an Optima. How did you get your OEM battery tie to fit the height of the Optima? I hear some ppl use wood underneath. Is there another alternative?

I bent the battery holdown downward a little to keep it snug. Fits fine and never moved.

tks for feedback guys...
well, i've had my yellow top for nearly 5 yrs and i was wondering if it's time to change or not.
i used the battery from my old gs for sounds. i just practically used the same battery on my sc right now.

what about the blue top? is that also mainly for sounds?

the blue top is good for systems, but it is mainly used for marine vehicles
