Default sc300 engine question

first off im familar with search toolbar and all that since ive been a part of the acura-legend.com forum for the past couple years. i had trouble finding what i wanted but im in the market for a sc300 now. im curious about the engine it has. i had orginally thought that they all came with the same engine as a supra but after searching somewhat i find threads about people wanting to swap to that engine setup. so does the sc300 have the 2jz in it or does it have another engine type? if there are threads about this then help me out on the weblink. i have an 93 acura legend coupe and im just looking for a car with a lil more potential. i appreciate anyone's help or tips, thanks

The supra has two engine types. The N/A supra has the same engine an SC300, GS300 (2jz-ge). The Supra TT has a 2jz-gte - this is the engine that is being swapped in. Even though people say the 2jz-ge is not as good as the gte a person on www.supraforums.com has a 9.71second 2jz-ge engine!

if you were familiar with the search feature, then you would've found the answer. besides that; pop open your hood and look for the imprint. or it should say 2jzge in there somwehere. the acronyms 2-j-z-g-e is all over the sc300 section.

1. another typical member who makes a forum have a bad image, i come on here to find info and you accuse me as if i have never used the search feature, ive been a part of forums a lot longer that it seems to be from your profile. AS I SAID i searched and didnt find what i was looking for. there are countless threads about the modding and swapping but i didnt find what i was looking for. sorrrrryyyyyy

2. how would i pop open my hood when i dont have an sc300, IM LOOKING IN THE MARKET FOR ONE.

if im going to be banned because of this then let it be, but i feel that certain members on here should be a little more supportive to everyone. if you want to say im not familar with the search button then you should be informed of a reading comprehension problem since i never stated i had an sc300.

jtjohnny03, the SC300 has the same engine as the Supra N/A (2JZGE). Much info can be found here, your options with the 2JZGE or swapping over to the 2JZGTE or 1JZGTE.

Enough you two.. now kiss and make up

astro boy - 70k is very low milage for a 2jzge ive got over 200k on mine now and its still running strong and you can find others with even more miles than mine that are still running good trust me when i say your engine still has plenty of life in it
