Default Looking for some good mild performance upgrades

What would be some nice cheapER mods for my wife's 1992 SC300. I'm looking for a little more speed and right now I'm avoiding going the Turbo route because of money. Just wondering what would give the SC a ltitle more pep (It doesn't have to be bolt ons, it could be simple things such as smog equipment removal, or preferred spark pulgs, etc.) Thanks.

exhaust and plugs would be the cheapest and the air filter!

if you want to help out the car for not a whole lot of money you have to look at the things that will be relatively easy to do and will help out the engine the most.

intake
less restrictive exhaust
new plugs
spark plug wires
distributor cap
distributor rotor
breathe in, breathe out
hope that helps.

Thanks. Those are mods you would want do to any used car that you buy. I was just making sure that there wasn't anything special that these cars respond to. I know it was kind of a noob question, but I just wondered what should be done first.

no problem. those are pretty much the mods everyone starts with then slowly graduate to bigger and badder things like coilovers or rediculous turbos.
