I am used to set the map pointing north and hate it rotating around. However, for the new Rx350h that I just got, even I set the map pointing north, after restarting, it will reset to follow the drive direction. Is there anyway to make the north pointing map default?
I want the map to be north up. It seems that the default is heading up. Every time I change it to north up, it changes back to heading up soon thereafter. I cannot find a way to make north up the default setting. Any ideas?
Does Lexus even do OTA updates? Or via a customer download to a memory stick? If every infotainment update has to be a dealer visit, don't expect too many software updates.

The multimedia manual states updates can be done OTA, wi-fi, or usb stick. When the NX got an update last year, the display let the owners know it was available.
From my understanding, this is a known issue. Hopefully this will be fixed in a future software update.
From communications with Lexus, they seem to have no intention of addressing this issue. Very disappointing. They know what the issue is but simply say that system is operating as designed. No plans to fix this. I would have expected more responsiveness to their customers.

I have same concern but Lexus doesn’t seem to want to be bothered fixing this programming error.
I’m honestly not surprised. They could do so many optional things in software to meet more preferences but they appear to insist on trailing every other manufacturer.

Any Lexus social media sites where we could express our displeasure? That would at least let Lexus/Toyota know that there is unhappiness in the ownership universe.

Lexus will probably use the excuse, "working as designed," to avoid fixing the many problems with the Nav system.
