I've added myself as a driver, got everything setup and working within the Lexus app except for the Digital Key.
But when I want to add my wife as a driver profile does she need to create a entirely new login and password for the Lexus app or use my existing login info?
I was just in the phone with Lexus tech support and she told me to have her login with MY INFO and not to create a new one.
For some reason I'm thinking the Lexus person gave me wrong info.
That sounds correct. You can only have one vehicle tied to one account, which renders two separate accounts useless if there is one vehicle between both of you.
We tried the multiple profile approach and quickly abandoned it for a few reasons and issues. Much easier to just have one profile and one phone tied to a vehicle, from my experience.

My wife and I have different profiles with different usernames and passwords. We each use one of the keys and the key is tied to the profile. Most of the time it works without any issue.
I guess I'm trying to figure this thing out. we just got the vehicle yesterday evening.
I seem to be totally good with one profile as the primary driver, CarPlay is setup, all the little things are all setup but not sure how to make the Lexus know that my key fob is keeping these settings and then when her key fob is used to use her settings.
need to create individual accounts for each user. Then login to the car with each users unique APP login. Once all configured and profiles are saved to that account, then she can log off on her phone nad use your login on her phone.
The whole multi profile system is like a construction projects that was disbanded in the middle of the project due to bankruptcy.
The way they system is currently you can have multiple profiles for each driver (up to 3) that saves in vehicle settings to those profiles (Seats, mirrors, HVAC, radio). ONLY the main driver can have favorites in navigation. Voice recognition works good for main driver only.
Only 1 driver can have the App remote controls. So, if you and your wife both want it, both have to be logged in under main drivers login profile.
Very messy! Shame on Lexus / Toyota for this poorly executed system, in a rather good car.
With my wife as the primary driver, I have no profile, I only set my seat settings as the third memory button and since I am typically with her in the car, her phone is the only one paired. Otherwise, when my phone was paired to my profile, it prevented her phone from connecting to Carplay even when her profile was selected.
If I happen to be alone in the car, instead of Android Auto, I just use the native navigation, if needed, and listen to the regular radio for music instead of bluetooth from my phone. The car is much more enjoyable with one profile. I miss the analog input on her old NX, that way I could just plug in to get music or audio navigation without "connecting" anything.

Thanks for all of that. It's starting to make more sense. For all this time leading up to actually getting the vehicle I was under impression we could both have full access or the Lexus app to start/stop, lock/unlock, etc.
From your comment it appears we can but a work around is needed after setting up her own account, setting profile up. Once that's done log out and then log into the Lexus app with my main account. 👍🏻
Does doing it this work around way affect CarPlay, Bluetooth?
Unless something has changed, the digital key can only be assigned to one phone. My partner and I share an account and have our phones logged into that account, but the digital key can only reside on one of the phones. We tried separate accounts and that worked, but the second account app has far fewer features, so we went back to sharing an account.
The digital key has been unreliable for us and I would never rely on it.
My wife and I are seperate users in the car, by key fobs & face recognition. We share the Lexus app log in & all works great with the app.
The car sometimes picks up her key when I open her door for her, then the seat is too far up by the time I walk around to get in. You just never know what its going to decide to do.
In order to use the app (and all remote features) my wife and I are signed into her Lexus account on both of our respective phones. She was set up as the primary driver when we purchased the RX.
Once in the vehicle, it will recognize the driver (via facial recognition) and adjust settings.
From what i can tell, you cannot have each user set up to use the remote functions (unlike my Mercedes, where we have individual drivers set up with full access to remote features). Much easier than passing the remote key back and forth, so we can use the cars interchangeably.
