Does your taskbar change to the bottom instead of the side if Taskbar Widgets are turned on (setting is changed on the phone)? Maybe that will force the Lexus menu icons to always be displayed. Other thing you might try is to tell the phone that the driver to the right side of the car so maybe the bar moves to the far side and the Lexus menu icons can be displayed? Don't have my car this weekend to test this weekend.
