Steering Wheel Noise

Do you guys know if this is normal and I should go to a dealer to get it checked? The whining only comes up after I drive the car for a bit.

I had a similar noise with my Acura rdx and they replaced the rack and pinion and that fixed the issue.

Did your dealer say anything about it when you went there?

I showed the video to my dealer and they told me that's normal and nothing to worry about lol...

Do you have any other issues related to function...ie....any of your buttons on the steering wheel not operating correctly?

Might want to connect OBDII and see if any communication codes kick.

I agree with Quantum501. Clockspring noise is not unusual, but I wouldn't consider it normal.

I had a similar noise. It was only in the warmer months. Dealer by the way in NC said in the hot months the lubrication can thin out causing the noise. They re-lubricated it and it went away and has not come back and been many years ago.
