Default 2014 Lexus RX350 Steering Wheel Noise

Hey guys,
Attached is a video showing a noise coming from the steering wheel every time I turn it. It seems to be like a whining noise. Every time I am parked and turn the wheel and every time I am turning the wheel at low speeds, there is a whining noise. Can you tell me what the problem is?

Heres the link:

Does the whining noise only occur when turning the wheel?

I can't hear the sound in the video but I can say that my 2015 has been doing this for the three years I've owned it and other than being annoying it's caused no issues.

Not sure if this is your issue, but it's a good place to start. A video showing how to lube the rubber cuff at the bottom of the steering column.

My 2014 RX350 AWD (NA Built) suffers the same issue. It appears the groaning noise comes after the car warms up and driven for like 10 miles (quicker if the temperature is warm like 70ºF). Brought it to the dealer today and the tech can't hear it (while the service advisor heard it). They suggest to bring it back when it gets louder. To replicate it, roll the car under 5 mph without throttle and turn the wheel left or right, the groan, whining noise will come.

There is a similar TSB for 2010 model. I have ordered the grease and will give it a shot
L-SB-0038-11

I will also give the silicone grease a shot this weekend..

Hi folks, I have fixed the issue! Yay!

I tried both column boot → Doesn't resolve the issue.
The TSB for putting the grease does the magic!

There is a similar TSB for 2010 model. I have ordered the grease and gave it a shot
L-SB-0038-11

I ordered the kit online from a Toyota dealership. Toyota Grease Kit 04007-76133 (Around $21 shipped)
Drive your RX on a ramp (or jack it up).
Follow the TSB instruction

The noise is gone!
