2017 auto seat heater question/complaint

Ok. my RX turns it's drivers side seat heater on randomly. It's freakin 90 out and that is NOT what I freakin need right now. Anyone have any ideas? Known issues?

Sounds like it would have to be the switch/wiring.

Also in the auto heated/cooled seat menu , there is a sensitivity setting but I don’t know if moving it to the right or left makes it more or less sensitive.

the description is stupid. FF/L and underneath FF/R

Mine has nothing like this in the options that you can scroll through on the head unit, nor does it have any 'auto' option by the front of the switch either like some other members mentioned on here. I'm guess all of that stuff's only for the higher end RXes?

There's your answer, if you have a basic model some of the "niceties" are missing.

Does Passenger Seat Heat on Automatic if Passenger is Absent?

The owner's manual for our 2020 ES-350 clearly says if the seat heater is set to automatic, the seat will not heat if the passenger is absent. But I cannot find this written in the manual for our 2017 RX-350. You would think it would be the case since I'm pretty sure that the passenger airbag does not inflate if there is not any weight on the seat. So when the seat heater is set on automatic, it should also not turn on. Does anyone know for sure?
