That's awesome. If you don't mind sharing, what was your MSRP and did you manage to get this directly through a dealer or some other avenue?

Is this for a 450H premium package?

Thanks.

I agree, you should remove the lexus cash away from the total discount. Those are a given either way. You should instead look at the pre-incentive/dealer discount.

Right now its 10-11% (end of month) before ANY lexus customer cash.

Thanks all.

Finally, I got mine for an OTD of $51,123 (MSRP = $52,660). This for a RX450h, premium, 18" wheels.

Did I do good? Any thoughts?

Looking back, I think I might have got 13% off if I had waited another day or two close to 31st. But it is what it is and I am happy with it.

By including rebates - which you've acknowledged changes from month to month - you are making the MSRP discount calculation useless for comparison purposes both historically and in the future.
Maybe, maybe not. If Jack buys his apple this week with Lexus Cash at $3K, and Lexus Cash goes back to $2K in August when John buys his "identical" apple (by your definition), John will have paid $1,000 more. Those apples don't seem so identical to me. I'm also not convinced that rebates and dealer discount are completely independent, non-correlating variables. Fat rebates usually come with more advertising and other tools to drive volume. It seems likely that dealers factor OEM advertising and resulting volume expectations into their pricing strategy.

No matter, though. I think we can agree that's what's most important is to be clear and complete on the thread when describing deals or proposed deals. My attempt in doing so with my purchase is documented here: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...l#post10793891. What is super useless, IMO, are reports that only show OTD pricing. Tax and fee rates vary significantly by state and without the details the numbers are helpful to no one, including those seeking "is this a good deal" advice.

So what's everyone think about 2021 pricing?

All right - here is where I ended up for NAV w/ Prem Pkg, heat and vent seats, wood/leather heated steering wheel. etc.
MSRP - $54.5K
Vehicle Price $51.5K
Less "Rebate" ($3K)
Car Price $48.5K
OTD - $52.0K

I dont think this deal is extraordinary... Board's thoughts as to what I should target????

That's about 5.5% off MSRP. Average deal at best. You can do better in this environment. I'd target 10% off MSRP or more.

Congrats, and enjoy. Dont let numbers dictate your enjoyment levels with the new whip!

Unfortunately, I didn't buy the car by the end of July due to the change of address on my driver's license. Then at the beginning of August, they told me they made some mistakes on the quote and wanted to add $800 more. I didn't buy it.

It has an MSRP of 55885.

It should be, but they didn't provide me the official offer. They only provided a file without an expiration date. I think it is good that I didn't buy from them.

Default How much should I negotiate?

Hi All, I’m looking at a white RX350 FSport FWD for my mom. It is at my local dealership in Alabama. I’m planning to negotiate for about 10% to 13% below MSRP. Do you guys think if that’s reasonable? Let me know your thoughts. Thanks all!

right now its really hard to buy a car, they dont want or need your business at the moment. limited inventory plus a ton of people wanting to buy a "cheap car". Negotiating might be tough but people have got roughly 10-13% before the inventory became so limited so its a good place to start.

Here is the link to the vehicle as well. This one has HUD, Triple Beam LED Headlights, but no NAV and no Panoramic Moon roof.

i would honestly wait for the 2021's and get the bigger nav, unless it doesnt matter to you..To me its a deal breaker but I can do without the tri-beam head lights and pano roof (hail area) so to each their own. To me the nav makes a world of difference imo and if your going to be spending 100% of your time inside the car looking forward while driving and the 12 inch screen imo is the way to go. But again to each their own, maybe you dont care about it. Just dont spend 50k on a car and wish it had an option you wanted cause Ive dont that and it sucks.

Its kinda like buying a car with the standard v6 when the v8 option was only 3k more but you actually get performance and its pleasant and fun to drive. Not as drastic but as that but for the price its listed at I honestly dont think there going to budge much, its kinda priced to sell as it also includes the hud with the 20 inch rims. For some reason it seems your area is 4-5k cheaper than the rest of the US? lol. check true car and see what your neighbors bought the same car for.
