There's also the mandatory fees as follows. I was under the impression these were mandated by law and non negotiable? Are you suggesting the dealership absorb these costs?
Freight & PDI $2,095
Air Conditioner Tax $100
Tire Tax $20
Province Fees $10
Total Fees $2,225
No, what I meant to say is sometimes dealers will pull a fast one on you, and if you pushed for and got invoice, they'll tack on a $500 dealer fee or some other amount and pretend as if you can't remove it (I've had this happen to me).
Sorry, I meant to clarify: the other fees are non-negotiable. Congrats if you decide to pull the trigger!

As a part of Costco program, the dealership column showed me two columns: MSRP and Invoice price. For RX 450 with Luxury Options, MSRP was $63,430. Invoice price was $$60,600. Subtract $1,900 (Costco discount) and $3,000 (Lexus rebate), pre negotiated price is $55,700. I was able to negotiate to down to $54,400. All these prices included destination fees, registration fee etc. After CA tax @ 9.25%, I bought the car fort $60,500 OTD. I also paid additional $1,700 for 4 year 10 maintenances (first two are free any way).
Norcal or Socal? Can you send me a PM with the dealer? I'm looking to buy one myself.
Trying to buy a new RX350 in Ohio.... Trading in my 2017 RX.
Dealer initially offered $250 off MRSP + 3000 lexus cash,
I asked for 2000 off, and was told no. Best offer from dealer came in at 1250 off sticker + 3000 Lexus cash
Sales manager told me they were selling for MRSP...... I said no thanks....
So after reading this forum, maybe 3000 off is better price.
$56K RX 350 awd with Nav, 20" wheels, premium, blindspot with panoramic monitor, cold weather, heated/vented seats
Maybe since the end of the month is coming up, they will call me back...
Buying my first RX in 2017 , I walked out of the dealership because of the lowball trade-in price.
The manager came out to my car as I was leaving and agreed to my trade in price (KBB value was all that I was looking for).

Most of us expect to get more for a trade in than it's worth to a dealer.
If you want to know what your trade in is worth take it to CARMAX and see what they will offer you for the car. It will give you a pretty good idea of what it's worth to a dealer.
When you negotiate price with a dealer they are experts at confusing us with numbers for the trade in and the price of the car.
Know what your trade in is worth before you start negotiating price.
KBB is not a realistic value.
The dealer has to plan on selling the car at auction. The auction price is lower than the KBB trade in value.
I am n the process of buying either a RX450h AWD or a RX 350 and have received a quote for the 450H through the Costco car buying program. White exterior, parchment interior, premium package.
The dealer website has the following:
MSRP = $52,660
Discounted price = $49,980
Lexus offer = $3000
Final Price = $49,980
Costco pricing sheet has the following:
MSRP = $52,660
Savings ($3181)
Installed Items (no additional items installed)
Price including dealer installed items $49,479
Manufacturer to customer rebate = ($3000)
Costco Member Price = $46,479
Is this a good price? I am not seeing that much of a difference from the price listed on their website to the Costco pricing sheet. Also, I am thinking of utilizing the 0% financing. Would that be sensible. I look at it as free money unless someone can convince me that it is a terrible idea. Thoughts appreciated. I am waiting to receive the quotes for the RX350 and will report with those numbers as well as I am looking for help in deciding between the two. As a whole, is this a good deal or should I negotiate for more? If so, what kind of questions should I be asking?

new cars are always tricky to "find a good deal" but right now more so ever, the amount of cars sold is a lower number as of right now. Toyota/lexus has lost an incredible amount of sales so the information just isnt out there as of right now. But from knowing prices of rx350's and 450's thats expensive. If we were talking back in 2019 that would be a pretty good deal. But right now you can probably get a f sport loaded for around 52k which would be near invoice price. Dealerships still make money at invoice price and dont let them tell you otherwise. I wouldnt buy the car for more than stated (invoice), 0% interest for 60 months, and probably some all weather floor mats lol

From my experience, the best deals happen when you've been to the dealership and they know you're serious. Visit 2-3, ask them to give you their best price and then once you get home, pit them against each other over the phone. That's what I did.
Don't let them confuse you by focusing on different components of the price - the only thing that matters to you is the final price you're going to pay all-in after taxes, freight, fees and everything. When I was negotiating they kept trying to throw different fees and discounts at me and I basically told them I don't care how they get to it - here's my all-in price after taxes. I ended up getting invoice price.

Thank you. Glad that you think this is on the higher end as well. My gut feeing says that too for the simple fact that there isn't much of a difference from their price to the Costco price. Also, taking into account the COVID-19 situation I would think dealers will be wanting to move their inventory to get ready for the next season. The thing is they haven't even shared the invoice price. Mysteriously left it out. So I called Costco and they were surprised as well. Costco says they will have their consumer advocate take it up with the dealer. Let me see how all this ends up.

Thank you for the response. Being a novice, I need to be extra vigilant I guess and not get sucked into their game. So appreciate your insights.

The dealer won't share it with you - I actually even had dealers give me incorrect numbers.
Invoice price is public information. Check unhaggle.
