Is there a way to raise / lower the windows without starting the engine? It seems like they should function in accessory mode just like my older RX with a key starter. In hot weather I like to leave my windows down during the day and raise them when the weather cools in the evening. As is I have to start the engine to perform the operation. 5 second cold starts 2X per day can't be good over the life of the car.

No all you have too do is press the start button twice (don't step on the brake pedal) and you'll be able to operate the windows.
That should already be programmed as it is the default.
Thought the default was Off? I had to get my dealer to program the '16 to allow my key to close all the windows (and sunroof) from outside. Never tried the all-window open remote fob though.
Programmable by dealer only:
□ Turning the key right and holding the position for 2 seconds will not close the windows and moon roof (Standard) = Off
□ Turning the key right and holding the position for 2 seconds will close the windows and moon roof = On
□ Turning the key left and holding the position for 2 seconds will not open the windows and moon roof (Standard) = Off

I got my 2017 with this operating, I Think it's part of the PDI and original set-up, obviously some dealers don't do it and wait for a complaint to activate it.
The reason why I said that I think this is part of the PDI is because all of my previous vehicles (different makes) had this feature without me asking for it.
2021 model. I know I can lock the doors, but can the app close the windows? This is Phoenix and even in the fall I leave the windows down a little in the day but would like to close them at night. Didn’t see anything obvious in the app.
Lexus cars have an Anti-Jam feature for the windows and sunroof. If you actuate the window switch and release it the window or sunroof will stop and reverse a bit if obstructed. If you actuate and hold
the switch it will override the Anti-Jam and continue to close.
The Remote Window Roll Down will open all the windows and the sunroof remotely when you press
and hold the fob unlock button. There is No setting to permit the fob to remotely close the windows
because you might be out of sight and by holding the (remote) button you could close the window on
a child's head or dog paw.
Using the mechanical key from the fob in the Driver's door lock cylinder and turning it counter clockwise
will close the openings and because you are right there you should be able to see even the far side windows.
This feature works but is awkward for cars such as the 2016 and newer RX's that cover the lock cylinder.
