I have a 2016 Rx350 Executive with 30,000 KM. Just this week the car started to make a long continuous beep for a couple seconds when starting the car. There are no warning messages. The dash goes through it's test procedure during this time, so every light comes on and then goes off. There seems to be nothing wrong with the car, just an annoying beep at every start-up that was not there before.
It also goes off when the rear driver door is opened or the tailgate, but not when any other door is opened...
Any ideas what that could be? Maybe alarm related?

I get this beep after turning on the car when I leave the moonroof open, a window open, or a door open, and turn off the car.
Only long beep I’m aware of on rxL is if the power folding rear seats are not fully up or down... most likely not what your experiencing..
You were really close! I called the dealer this morning and they told me it is probably the second row power folding seats. The driver side seat was not all the way up. Just bought the car used a few months ago and still figuring out all the quirks. This is a Canadian "Executive" package which doesn't exist for US RX350s, but basically adds almost all the available options to it, including second row power fold seats...

The Canadian Executive Pkg is the Top, it has ALL the options available. 2nd row power folding seats are available only with this pkg in Canada. I have the pkg below this one (luxury) and don't have them.

Did that include the Rear Entertainment System, which was available in 2016? We have the electric folding and heated seats on our US 450h Lux. The only other option available when we bought ours was the Rear Entertainment System. I've never seen one on a 4th Gen RX nor am I interested in one.

Back in 2016, the Rear Entertainment System was only available in the RX450h Executive "Plus" Package in Canada. If I recall correctly, it was around $2k over the Executive Package, with the only difference being the RES. Pretty much DOA as I can't imagine a lot of people actually wanting that system.

Mine is a 2017 and as far as I recall the Rear Entertainment System wasn't available in Canada, it wasn't offered to us.
