I still get messages on the Nav screen after iOS11.3 update. However, all the messages I have received after the update have been iMessages. I have not been texted. while driving, so I have not checked those.

I normally have my phone connected with USB, so I have not checked messages on the Nav screen with Bluetooth.

 

i have been having this problem too, since updating to the latest iOS. texting message notifications are intermittent, sometimes occurring minutes after the text comes in.

 

FWIW, same here. What I find helps is after I start the car, I hit the phone button on the steering wheel. It shows that my iPhone is connected and after that my texts seem to work. Occasionally, I feel the phone vibrate in my pocket and the car does not relay the text. Again, I hit the phone button and suddenly the text comes through. All pretty annoying!

 

I have similar issues with my IPhone X with 11.3. I have done everything possible to mitigate the issue but no success. I will get a text message through my Apple watch and Iphone and then it will take 10 minutes before it displays on the nav screen. It seems once you get one message then they all display as they arrive. The above pattern is consistent. I just had my phone replaced because of a bad screen and I was starting to wonder if the new phone had a bluetooth problem but it sounds like an 11.3 issue. Apple has really failed a lot of people between phone updates and computer updates. If Steve Jobs was still here I think things would be much different. I have seriously considered moving away from Apple products completely due to the incompetence with the updates and lack of testing.

 

I've read sometime yesterday online, Apple released a fix to 11.3 iOS problems. I'll look around to find a link.

 

 

Well, it looks like Apples fix is not the fix. Or it could be a problem with the Nav system. Anyways, I use Android and never had any problem with text, messages or phone calls.
