Hello everyone,

Looking to purchase a new 2018 RX 350 F Sport. Model has Nav w/Mark Levinson, Blind Spot Monitor, Cold Weather Pkg, Touch Free Rear Door, Towing Prep Pkg. MSRP is 60,000 and sale price 54,000 after 1,500 manufacturer rebate. I've sifted through the thread here and get the feeling I can push a little harder (currently at ~7.5% off MSRP, pre-rebate). Let me know what you guys think a reasonable counter would be.

Thanks.

Here's the deal I picked up on Monday:

2018 RX 450hL Premium
MSRP: $58,713
Purchase Price: $52,85 (Discounted Price) - $2,250 (Rebate) = $50,535
Lease Terms: 36 months at 12K miles annually for $564.13 per month
DAS: $2,500 (includes dues/fees and 1st month)
MF: .00045
Residual: 56%

The amount due at signing could've lower but needed the car now for the growing fam. Purchased the car at South County Lexus in Mission Viejo from Matthew Molus & Greg Holley. Also had the same deal with Howard Glenn at Lexus Escondido but they didn't have the color I wanted. They were all pretty cool to work with.

$6,000 off of $60,000 is 10%. Anything 10%+ is a good deal.

Yep, this already discussed in the thread this week. With the rebate he's getting 12.5% which is good, anything below that would be so so and not recommended especially now that the 2018's are old inventory.

Wow, one poor word choice wreaks havoc on the entire message. My bad.... Fixed original post. Should have reflected "after" rebate applied--the 7.5% calculation was correct. But thanks for your response. It seems like I need to get to 10% before rebate.

I would push to over 10% under msrp. the rebate have nothing to do with the dealer.
I got 12%

Don't do it, that's a terrible deal, 2018's are old. Local dealer said 2019's arriving next month. You should ask for 12% off before the rebate. Seek other dealers, don't get taken by your home town dealership. Contact Atlanta dealers, the MF and rebates are the same as your state.

I greatly appreciate the advice. I have tried 3 dealers in ATL and my local dealer (believe it or not) has actually beat their deal. I have tried 3 other dealers in surrounding areas and my local dealer has also offered me the best deal thus far. When I go in today, I will ask this question and see what happens. Thanks again so much!!

Just an FYI to current shoppers, 2019 models are now showing on dealer websites for sale. So that's good news for us in the market for an '18. I wonder if the incentives will increase next month since there's still plenty of 2018 models currently on dealer lots nationwide.

Do you know what the best incentive Lexus has offered in the past couple years for the 4RX?

No but you can find that info here on CL. Anyway, now is perfect time to buy since this is now old inventory. Some dealers here in South Florida are showing a few 2019's in their inventory.

The new 2019 is the same as 2018, yet $100 more expensive. In addition to that, with the tariff on steel being to creep into car prices, I don't think Lexus will reduce the price much since 2018 is cheaper to produce than 2019
