Got a RX 450h. Sticker price with options was $55,500.
  • Blind Spot Monitor with Rear-Cross Traffic Braking and Intuitive Park Assist
  • 20" Split-5-spoke Dark Silver Alloy with Machined Finish
  • Touch-Free Power Rear Door
  • Heated and Ventilated Front Seats
  • Navigation
  • Premium Package
  • Power Tilt/Slide Moonroof/Aluminum Roof Rails
  • Towing Prep Package
  • Heated Leather Steering Wheel
  • All-Weather Floor Mats and Cargo Mat (also got carpet floor mats unless those are always part of the base package?)
  • Door Edge Film by 3M
  • Mud Guards
  • Cargo Mat/Cargo Net/Wheel Locks/Key Glove

They dropped $5,325 off MSRP (~9.5%).
Then got $1,500 in Lexus Incentives.

Total was about 13% off MSRP before taxes and fees.

Felt like I left a little on the table but we went with it anyway (since it was the last day of the Golden Opportunity event). Wasn't the exact exterior/interior color and options my mom want but was close enough.

Is the event really that good or should I just have held out and been ready to walk in order to get more? I had another dealership saying to consider them before buying, and 1 other saying they'd beat any price by $500 no haggle (just wasn't sure the dealership I was at would give me something in writing that I'd be able to take elsewhere).

  • 12.3" NAVIGATION SYSTEM
  • 3500 LBS TOW PREP PACKAGE
  • ACCESSORY PACKAGE
  • ALL-WEATHER FLOOR MATS W/CARGO MAT
  • BLIND SPOT MONITOR W/REAR CROSS TRAFFIC ALERT
  • F SPORT PACKAGE
  • POWER TILT & SLIDE MOONROOF
  • PREMIUM TRIPLE-BEAM LED HEADLAMPS
  • TOUCH-FREE POWER REAR DOOR
Yes, it includes those items but not the all weather mats. It does have the Pano roof and monitor added though. The dealer is Sewell Lexus of Dallas in Texas. OTD price was $55,500 including all dealer fees, title and license, and the 6.25% sales tax in Texas. No trade in. They were really easy to work with and took around 24 hours to get the deal I wanted.

Good luck buddy...
Thanks, I try. looks like they are not going to offer it.

Sorry if this is an obvious question but do we only get to choose between the Lexus customer cash ($1500) or financing (60 month @ 2.9%)? If I'm financing via my bank, would I not be eligible for the Lexus customer cash? What would be the best way to negotiate if purchasing with financing? Or are you guys all just paying cash?

Negotiated the OTD price with my own financing. I took the $1,500 Lexus cash and financed through my credit union for 2.66%.

Is it still 2.90% for 60 months if financing through Lexus? I see 3.90% for 72 months on their website until 9/4/18.

Based on the Sewell website, yes.

I would ask the Lexus dealership to see whats up. The website makes it seem like either or for alot of these deals, but since the cash is LFS I dont know why they wouldnt combine both. I would also see if any credit union gives you a better deal, of course make sure theret any discounts or additional fees you are missing out on, and simply run the number

Default Did I get a good deal?

I've been reading this thread and most members seems to be saying that you have a good deal when you get 10% or more off MSRP. Is this before taxes and fees? I leased 2018 RX 450h back in March for 36 months/12K miles per year. The MSRP was $55K. Now, the final/adjusted capitalized cost was $51K including all the incentives and the NJ 6.625% sales tax. At least, I assume it included the sales tax since my monthly payment of $577 includes it and is based on the $51K number. I paid $1900 out of pocket which included the fees (title, registration, etc.) and the first month payment. So, did I get a good deal? It's only abut 7% off MSRP ( (55K-51K)/55K ) but since it includes the 6.625% sales tax, it is actually 13% off (55K-51K/1.06625)/55K.

Do you have to pay upfront tax on the whole value in NJ? If you only pay tax on the monthly use then I don't think that your 51K number includes tax. You need to have a clear answer to these questions before you sign a lease.

No, l leased so I only need to pay tax on the monthly use. Frankly, I only care about my final monthly payment so I didn’t pay attention which part of the lease formula the tax was included in. Just trying to work backwards to see how much off MSRP I got.

There is no "better". They're two differently optioned vehicles, only a thousand bucks apart. Only you know which one you like.

You have a better deal on the FSport. .064% better.

As was mentioned, why are you asking an internet forum which vehicle is better for you?
