I really think this is getting crazy, bad enough when I have passenger they can't key in address while I am moving now radio, come on!!!
If they do that I won't be getting a 2018. My wife always plays with the radio. She doesn't drive and doesn't even like driving, so finding music or whatever is her thing. Oh yea and she likes the volume, if she looses that, well it definitely won't happen.

Default Changes for 2018?

Looking at buying an RX350. The local discounts aren't great, so would wait for a 2018 if there were any changes (hoping for new navigation interface). Any rumours on minor updates in the third year of the RX?

Thanks!

Thanks. Sorry for the repost. I remember reading about the "L" version (which I'm not interested in)...

I added extra large for comparison. It seems really long to add 6 whopping inches

2017 Suburban/Escalade ESV 224.3"

I've been reaching out to SoCal dealers on more info trying to decide if I wait a few more months or just get one now. This is a copy of an email I just received:

We have gotten more information on the 2018 RX 350. The first production date will be in December. We should have our first arrive just before the end of the year.

We know it will have a 3rd row seating with the power fold option. It also will have the options of captain chairs which allows for 6 or 7 seated RX 350s. The captain chairs wont start production until March.

They are dropping the F-Sport model.

I hope this helps. I will update you more when I know more

No F-Sport in 2018??? Say it isn't so?!? If that really is true, how that will impact resale value of a discontinued model? Now trying to decide if I should just pick up a 2017? Hmmmmmm......

No F-sport for the long version would make sense. The extra length will definitely have an effect on handling. Besides if your buying a 7 passenger vehicle do you really need a sport model. This will probably be a 5k pound vehicle, not sure this motor has enough torque for the extra weight. If nothing changes power wise I'll bet the drone will increase.
I wonder what it will look like with the extra length. The steep angle of the rear roof line will really eat up passenger space.

Possible to ask if the F-Sport being dropped only applies to the longer version vs regular?

Updated reply:
"The RX 350 with the 3rd row will now be considered the RX 350 L (Long Wheel Base). The options will slightly differ from the RX 350.

I was told they are not producing the F Sport for the front line on these Long Wheel Bases but it might be a possibility for a special order.

This is something we will know closer to production date.

The RX 350 (2 row) will still continue to have the F Sport option. They are doing a refresh on the RX this year so it should have most of the same options as the current 2017 RX 350 we have out.

I hope this clears things up."

No F-Sport in 2018?.
Looks like your dealer doesn't have the most current info, or maybe that's what they are being told. I am ordering an 2018 F sport in August for delivery in October. The dealers will have their their order books August 2017 for delivery in October.

More likely, the F sport model will stay. Just that there will not be an F-Sport on the L version.

As per my contact at Lexus Corporate..."we are not planning to eliminate the F sport version for 2018"
