I got a nice promo video from Lexus on the 3 row RX.
Does anyone know when 2018s will start hitting dealers? I saw what appeared to be a 2018 today, but I'm not sure.
It had a somewhat protruding snout, a clean rackless top, and an odd dark band from the rear window to the trunk lid.
Is that a 2018?
As for the 3 row
1. Does the car have any additional trunk space with the 3rd row folded down?
2. If so, can the 3rd row be permanently removed?
3. Is there a full sized spare, or a full sized hole for a flat to fit in?
I'm looking for an SUV, and the RX has somewhat devolved from that.
I've looked at the product spec sheet for the 2018 RX 450h and it looks like there is not much changing as compared to the 2017. Besides the introduction of the RX L, has anyone else heard about additional features?
I am also in the market for the same model and with these changes, I will get the 2017 for a better deal. I am almost certain that a call to Lexus after the purchase will get you the 10 year Enform subscription
Interesting that the 450hL isn't available to build yet, was hoping to see how the price stacks up.
Also, with the 350L, that the towing prep pkg requires the 2nd row captain's chairs, price TBD (unless that dependency is a glitch)

Interesting as the Towing Prep Package is no longer listed for the 450h and 450h F Sport—only the 450hL. The other non-hybrid models list the option (except the base model). Maybe it's an oversight as the website revisions for 2018 models were recently listed? I'm looking at the ZIP code listings for my area in Southern California.
Under the specs area of the website, it looks like some of the info about the L models needs to be updated. However, for the Hybrid L, it says the curb weight is 4,905 pounds. Won't that really hinder the handling, almost to the point of being dangerous?
I meant the base price of 350L is 10,000 higher than the base price of the normal 350
p.s I've never seen this thread before. weird.
Probably the mods merged the threads for the RX-L into the 2018 thread.
In any case, the 10k difference in the base price is a bit misleading, as the standard package for the 350L is closer to the Luxury Package for the regular 350. Only thing that I can see different is the 8-way seats for the L vs the 10-way on the Lux package. The 12" navi and 20" wheels are the same, so the difference is closer to 2k or so between the 350L and the regular 350.

Isn't the non-L Hybrid already something like 4700+ lb? Another 200lb would be similar to having an extra passenger or two in the car. Shouldn't be too much difference in the handling department. These beasts are not meant for canyon carving.
Yeah, I think the regular hybrid is shy of 4750 pounds. Anyway, when I asked my dealer manager about the L model release a couple of months ago, he said the first build would be on Dec. 18 in Japan. He also said that exports from Japan are typically a 90 day turn to the US, and so he said we should expect the RX L (350) around February. How come most of the press says January?
