I placed my order with the dealer at the end of August and am hoping to get the vehicle soon. Has anyone gotten their custom ordered (2017) RX yet?

During your experience, did you happen to request order status updates from either your dealer or Lexus customer service?
I ordered a rx450h end of October and my dealer stated the only update I would receive is when the car is shipped from Canada.
Was your experience different?

When I ordered a car from Chevrolet, the dealer and customer service were able to provide detailed status: order acceptance, build date, built complete, shipped, arrived at dealer...

My first 450H order was like that, order accept by Lexus. Then a build date. The car came to the dealer within 10days after the build date.

But no status on my second 450h with a different dealer. It just show up one day and my sale guy call me. But I didn't ask for status either.

 

I just received the following unsolicited comment from my dealer: "I just wanted to keep you posted as to the status of the special order . According to Lexus it is due to be built in December. As to an exact date I do not have that yet but will definitely keep you posted as things get closer".

 

Was it a 350? ... Looks like a quick turnaround from a custom order... 450 seems to be taking 4 months.

Why does everyone BUT the US get the triple beam headlights? Other Lexus models in the US offer the triple beam LEDs so why not the Lexus IS? No one seems to know the reason. Can they be special ordered?

I don't understand what you're saying. The US models do get triple beam headlights. However, I do not think the new IS have them. You should post this in the IS forum for more results.

 

I can also confirm that US RX gets triple beam headlights. Just check out my profile pic. Has a dealership been pulling your strings?

Is it possible to get a fully loaded RX 350 F Sport with panorama moonroof, panoramic view monitor, triple beam LED headlamps, and heated/power folding rear seats in the US?

I've seen this combination in Canada, but have not been able to find it in the US. Will I need to make a special order for this configuration?

 

You can get everything but the power folding rear seats.

Hard to find, but special order it if you really want the car you want. That is what I did.
