My F-Sport RX doesn’t have the cold weather package and noticed the cutouts in the bumper when they were installing the clear bra. One night I hit the windshield washer and I saw the mist come up from the headlights, I was stumped because nowhere in my window sticker did it show headlight washer. I jumped out of my car and sure enough there was windshield washer fluid on the headlights. I was glad they cut the clear bra around the washer port when they installed it.

It absolutely blows my mind you would even consider a car like this if you get no snow. I consider an SUV punishment for being dumb enough to live in an area that gets so much snow you need one just to get to the grocery store. if I was lucky enough to live in an area with no snow I would get the RC 350. That is sexy and fun to drive.
While I think your comment is kind of out of place...I must admit, I love to own a car, but with Canadian winters with so much ice and snow accumulating on the roads and in parking lots, I cannot imagine driving a car. But some of us buy mid-size to large SUVs for personal preference other than snow.

I use the RX as my winter beater. You can't drive sports cars in Canadian winters.

Cycle the windshield washer 5 times. Every 5th cycle the headlight washer cycles, if the lights are on.

According to the manual:
Vehicles with headlight cleaners:
When the power switch is in ON mode and the headlights are on, if the lever is pulled, the headlight cleaners will operate once. After this, the headlight cleaners will operate every 5th time the lever is pulled.

Default 2020 RX450H cold weather package

Hi, new 2020 RX450h FSport leasee coming from a 2017 RX350 FSport lease. Both cars were spec the same but the 2020 has the cold weather package. I skipped the walkthru of the car as I am already familiar w it. How do I use the wiper de-icer and
Headlamp washer?

TIA.

Headlamp washer you cannot control, it comes on automatically when the wipers are on & you've activated the wash action 5 times. It may even come on if you activate the washer 5 times w/o the wipers being on.
For the windshield de-icer you have to go into set-up, A/C and there is a 3 lines symbol that you have to click on and ten it gives you the option to turn it on. Crazy as crazy can be, this function belongs on a button somewhere on the dashboard.

Default How to disable headlight washer 2019 RX350

I have a 2019 RX350 color white pearl. While in a car wash, I operated my windshield wipers to clean off bugs. Later that day I noticed the washer cover and the nozzles were missing from the passenger side headlight washer. Apparently the cover and nozzle became caught in the brushes and came off in the car wash. I checked with the car wash and no parts were found. I now have an open stem that sprays fluid straight up in the air every 5th time I operate the windshield washers. I have purchased the color matched cover but I haven't found an inexpensive way to replace the nozzles. My dealer tells me it would cost $750 to fix it which includes removing the bumper cover. I'm considering options. If possible, I would like to disable both headlight washers. Could readers help me determine the feasibility of the following ideas?

1) Somehow plug or block the remaining washer stem, replace the cover and seal it with clear bra film
2) From under the car, close off the fluid supply tube to the passenger side washer nozzles
3) If every opening connected to the pump has to remain operational to work properly, re-route the fluid supply line to the broken washer back to the fluid reservoir
4) If the headlight washer/pump is on a single fused circuit, identify the fuse location and remove it
5) Other?

Could clamping the hose lines actually stop the nozzles from spraying WITHOUT harming the pumping mechanism? I ask this because someone told me the headlight washers are on the same line as the front windshield washers.

Hey guys. Just so everyone knows, I am providing an easy step by step instruction on how to disable your headlight washers by disconnecting the washer pump going to the headlight washer itself which is located towards the front. Long story short, some rodent chewed on the lines going to my driver's side headlamp washer which leaked washer fluid all over on that side so since I didn't want to pay $1-2k to the dealer, this alternative solution was the best to just disable this feature all together since most of us don't use it anyways. BTW, this is my wife's 2016 RX450h F-Sport.

Total time for the job: Less than 30 min.

Tools needed:
1. small flat head screw driver
2. socket wrench or phillips screwdriver
3. Electrical tape (optional)

Step 1: Remove the (3) Hex bolts/screws below the front passenger side undercarriage as indicated in the picture.

Step 2: Gently pull down the plastic liner.

Step 3: Look inside and up towards where the arrow is pointing

Step 4: Remove the connector going to the headlight washer pump. You will need to insert and push the flat head screw driver to loosen the tab and pull the plug after.

Step 5: As an optional step, I electrical taped the plug (had to creatively use one hand to wrap it as tight as possible, similar finger movement like trying to taking a girl's bra off with one hand ) and tucked it behind the connector.

Step 6: Tuck the undercarriage liner back in place and screw in the (3) bolts back (basically do the reverse/opposite of Step 1 and Step 2).
