My incoming RX450h F sport was built Jan 8. Port processed same day. On the rail by the 12th and is projected to arrive on the rail by the 20th with a dealer delivery on the 22nd in MN.

Any chance this goes through Jacksonville too and gets delayed? My dealer said the car shouldn't go to Jacksonville but who knows? Somebody in phx had their rx delayed too since it went to Jacksonville as well (go3Ds). His was a Canadian RX too.

 

What was the date you actually special ordered your 450h?

 

Hey guys, my sales guy has the answers to this thread! Lexus had issues with vehicles made in December (was not specified) and was (guess) taking care of it in FL. Vehicles made after that does not have the issue as it has been rectified at the factory and therefore will not have to be "held" there. Take it for what it's worth.

 

I special ordered end of nov/early dec. But this was not that vehicle. This was an identical build with a different external color ultra white vs silver lining. My special order is projected to be built late feb and delivered early March. I have not followed that up since I decided to get the white arriving soon. I could check if the info is of use to anybody. That order is locked and therefore will be built soon.

 

My 450h made it to the Phoenix distribution center and that's when the hold took place. No reason given for delay, but must be certain production dates involved regardless of which part of the country they are held up. Doubt mine ever went through Jacksonville. I'm in Tucson, but buying in Phoenix so will be quick once released.

 

Mine was built in November and picked up at the end of December. Hopefully this is not something they found in December but already affected the November built ones which have already been released！ I haven't heard any recall yet.

 

RX arrived in Mobile today and will be ready for us to pick up Wednesday afternoon.

Our new RX came into Mobile Tuesday and we took dilevery Wednesday. Good so far and we love it. Glad we waited on the 2016 .
I would still like to know why they were delayed in J'ville.

 

We had a similar issue with our RX. Purchased end of December, but vehicle was "held" in a town here in TX with a bunch of other vehicles for 2.5 weeks before delivery for "inspection". No issues since we took delivery last week.

I heard it was due to a final inspection that did not get done at the factory before they shipped from Canada and had to be done before they could leave their distribution points.

Just wanted to add that it happened in Texas as well as Jacksonville and Phoenix

 

Guess the ones held up in Arizona now released, as mine arrived today! I'm driving the 100 miles to my Phoenix area dealer to pick up tomorrow. My trade in price was already locked in, so kind of like my trade in was a free rent a car for a couple weeks.

 

Is it possible the hold-up is related to the problem with the knee level airbag?
