Default True Special Order Dates

Just trying to see if anyone can give some specific dates on when they special ordered their RX. (Not changing a specific Lexus dealer one on order, but one from scratch.) I did mine on October 30th and haven't any information on the order yet. You would think that when ordering a $60+ vehicle Lexus could be able to give you a little more info like when I should see the build date appear and so forth.

Ordered mine mid December and they are telling me February build with a late March delivery. I believe the dealer was able to grab an allocation and change it to my specs. No definite dates for the build or the delivery. They could be blowing spoke.

regardless of how you choose to order it, if typically is an dealer allocation that has to be changed to match your spec. Now I dont know why theyre just messing around with such a high $$ sale, but so far most orders that are complex are n the 2-3 month wait time (one dealer was doing 1 month), so dont know whats going on with you.

Still confused though, is this the same order you cancelled? Did the dealership come crawling back to appease you since usually highly special order vehicles are a sales dud to the general public.

Yes, this is the same one I told them to cancel. They took another $2300 off which made me feel better but at the same time they said these orders usually take 4-6 months. I personally think they messed up and re-ordered with the correct stuff but they obviously wouldn't tell me that.

got an email saying that the order is now "locked" and cannot be changed

beginning of January.

Ill be calling my dealer tomorrow and see when the order will arrive but I was told 3-5 months. It seems like it may be ready alot sooner.

Just spoke to my guy, he said it should be about 4 months from when the order was accepted, end of December.

Even though it is accepted by lexus and cannot be changed doesn't mean it goes to production right away.

He said he should have the build date by early feb, so about a little over a month since when I ordered it.

hope that info helps!

Thanks for the info. Crazy thing is that it's been over 2 1/2 months and I still don't have a build date. Frustrating. I'm glad yours is on schedule.

That's now identical to my build.

No rear power seats or dvd. Otherwise everything else?

Yep only because those are unavailable to build on a 450h. Even though the build sheet says the rear power seats are possible.

Was at dealer yesterday. Was told power rear seat was availble and if you choose that, you lose the ventilated seat.
