Yes it does. Oddly eco has the most normal shifting behavior but the throttle response is soft so the car feels sluggish.

Default Transmission hesitation improved with dealer "fix"

I've posted on here before - as have others - about the hesitation the transmission can exhibit at times - coming from a stop, going from those low gears to higher, etc. - so my wife took it to the dealer and they acknowledged it was a known issue and "rebooted" the system - we experienced some improvement. Then about a month ago she took it in for state inspection and they said they had a system "patch" or "fix" and supposedly downloaded that - I would say it is about 95% fixed...and perhaps I'm imagining the remaining 5% - my wife swears it is totally fine now.

You got the TSB applied that's been discussed in this thread. Works for some, not for others...for some it works, then doesnt. I'm thinking the car is highly sensitive to gas octane + quality. My hesitations are there 75% of the time, but then it'll be OK for a few days, then terrible again.

I have been running 93oct now for a few tanks. I cant seem to get any consistency, sometimes the low speed vibration
and drone aren't to bad and other times it's considerably worse. I can't figure it out, one thing for sure weather I run regular or hightest its still inconsistent. Really wish they would come up with a fix already, so annoying.
Oh I forgot its all normal according to Lexus, what a joke. But I guess the joke is on me sinse they got my $50k

Wait a minute. from your post, it sound like the state inspection applied the patch on your rx350?

When my wife took it in for the state inspection I asked her to mention that the hesitation was still an issue - they said they had an actual "fix" from corporate and downloaded it or whatever and after that it seems much better....she says it's 100% better - I say it's 95% better.

I have an RX350 that I bought in April 2017 and has a VIN not covered by the TSB (number is HC08xxxx) and I can feel the hesitation at low speeds, especially right after turning corners or slowly accelerating in heavy traffic. It is depressing since this was personally a "very-big-purchase" and "smoothness" of the ride was the supposed selling point.
I don't have a clear scenario to tell the dealership though (ie do the exact following things and the hesitation becomes evident).

Can you post the work order from Lexus? Thanks.

In NY the Lexus dealer or any NYS licensed Inspection shop can perform the yearly inspection. We don't have to go to a state run facility as required in some states..

I understand that driving habits matter a lot and all i can say is that i used to drive the ES 300H before and have managed to get 5.5 l/100 - so yes, am light footed most of the time.

I am wondering if anyone who has applied the TSB is noticing changes to their MPG?
I used a 2017 RX for 4 months mostly city driving without the TSB, I was averaging 480 KM for every 55 L of premium gas

equals to 8.73 KM/L = 11.4 L/100KM

That is pretty good for the RX. My 2016 Cadillac is giving 13.8L/100km. But it is a lot of fun to drive.

My average over the last 30,000 km is 12.5 liters/100km. The car does 75% city.

My MPG has gone down after the TSB, but not because of the software, but because it didnt work! The only way to get remotely predictable auto shifts is to drive the car a bit aggressively off the line...then it holds the gears and doesnt screw around with all the micro upshifts and lurching downshifts.

I agree totally, being more aggressive with the throttle yields better results. The irony here is that they put an 8 speed Auto to get an extra few MPG. Having to drive it harder to overcome the poor transmission characteristics defeats any extra MPG's. They should have just left the 6 speed in.

Ive said the same, my 3RX with 6speed was 100 times better and I miss it. Sounds like we have near identical cars and experiences.
