I have my appointment on Monday and they are not acknowledging the problem at all. In fact they are completely denying there is a TSB to fix it.
I can see the Canada print out in this thread. Does anybody have the actual proof of the TSB notice so I can show it to them.
Thank You.

The TSB originated from Lexus USA. I had to escalate my issue with Lexus Canada to get them to fix the hesitation. Lexus Canada got the TSB from Lexus USA and installed it in my car. Two weeks after my install, Lexus Canada had an official TSB. The Canadian TSB has a different number than Lexus USA, so make sure you quote the USA TSB if you are in the States.

You might want to remind your Service Manager to have the Tech disconnect the battery after the install for the program to work properly. There seems to be a few people that did not get the battery disconnected, making the change ineffective.

The TSB is now available from Lexus Canada. The tech can find it within Lexus Canada TIS. it is listed under Canada TSBs for our Cars.

Default TSB update no go for 2017 RX 350

I took my RX to the local dealer last week to get the transmission flashed as part of the TSB fix to address the Hesitation problem at low speeds for my 2017 RX .

However, the update was denied as my VIN did not fall in to the range specified in the TSB .
Dealer used the same talking points that the vehicle is performing normally and Lexus tech will be notified about the droning noise during acceleration

Disappointed !!
How can they botch something that is widespread ? The acceleration is pathetic until the vehicle reaches 30 mph +

I know two of my friends who bought their RX in the month of Jan and Feb also are facing the same issue . Apparently, this TSB is specific to last 5 of Vin # less than 39500 .

Mine is 2WD Non F sport and the effective VIN from the TSB doc is # HC039578 and mine is around 45 K

May be yours is different model as I see higher numbers for 4WD and F sport models

That makes sense
The range for 4WD F-sport is 60921.
BTW, did you see any improvement to the hesitation issue after the TSB update ?

Thanks

My new one week old 2017 RX350 fsport does seem sluggish upon acceleration in normal mode.
However learned not to press gas pedal so hard or place in sports mode.
My 2017 NX200t fsport is quicker at acceleration and more fun to drive, but the luxury feeling of RX is cool.

Lets all face it, Lexus dropped the ball big time. We certainly did not get Lexus smooth here.
I've taken this isuue all the way up to the top. Seems to me as long as their selling nothing
will be done. I've actually received much better service from Chevy and Dodge. Lexus is just
selling a name now. I leased my daughter a new Toyota Camry base model. That 4cyl powertrain
is so much smoother than my Lexus. There is no hesitation, vibration or drone. That Camry cost
less than half the price of my Lexus. What a disappointment this RX is. The only thing I can do at
this point is to convince anyone I know whos concidering a Lexus is to stay away.................

I appreciated,
Hopefully they will recognize this and fix the problem.
I wonder if the 2018 model year will be fixed or will it drive the same way as its predecessors.
Thank You once again for posting the TSB.

There is no way the Camry is smoother than the RX. My RX was great but now even better with the TSB update on the transmission, especially after 2 weeks once the ECU get used to the driver.

Your RX may very well be smoother than a Camry "mine is not"
That said any rpm over 2k is very smooth. Problem is under that
I get an annoying vibration and deep drone sound that is just
unacceptable. Lexus is setting up an appt. for a Master Tech
to diagnose the problem. He will probably tell me its normal
but I have test driven two others that were fine. The strange part
is that there are many members complaining about the same issue.
I don't understand why some are fine and others are not. I guess
we shall see how good Lexus customer support is. I'll update his
analysis soon.
