I have the 2015 RX and an ES. Love the analog clock! It's unique and stylish and the digital clock in the RX looks cheap and sterile by comparison. The glow of the always there analog clock adds a touch of style to the dash. When I made a list of the 20 or so enhancements in the RX from 2015 to 2016 the clock was on my want list. Let's vote!
I too think the analog clock is more stylish and luxurious. Digital clock reminds me of those alarm clocks you put next to the bed and smash to the floor when it goes off, just because it disturb your sleep.
If Rolex made their $100,000 watches with digital in mind they would go out of business. Rolex is more desirable if it was analog.
Analog give an impression that is was hand made and hand tailored to your individual need while digital gives impression of mass production built by mindless robots.
Why would someone want a digital clock, which can be found in many economy cars like the Honda Civic, inside there $50,000+ luxury car? I have no idea why.

I like the looks of 4RX analog clock. It definitely adds this touch of style the whole interior of RX is all about in this iteration. But at the same time, I like the feeling of precision and possibility to scan time extremely quickly - and again, with precision - on digital clock in my 3RX.
So would've been a hard tough call really, but luckily, according to manual, digital clock are displayed on multi-informational display. So everyone gets what they like. Analog for style, digital for precision.
Considering this in relation to the exterior design, yes… the clock and the so-very-analog door lock ***** (I mean come on…) feel pretty much out of place. But once inside, it kinda feels in line with the rest of stuff inside. 4RX is all about split personality I guess

Here's a photo of the digital clock on the multi information display. This one on a 2016 450h.
The analog clock on my NX which is similar to the 4RX it is hard to read in the day time. I find the hands are too narrow and have to strain to see where they are in bright sunlight. At night with the lights on it stands out and is very legible. I wish the NX had the digital clock in the info display like the new RX.

The new analogue clock is nicer looking. The old digital clock reminds of some 80s casio watch, looks cheap. I always look at the display screen instead of the clock so I guess it only matters to me in a sense of aesthetics.
